What We Do
Medication Time Consulting provides medication therapy management and counseling services via tele-health and in-home visits. We evaluate and continually monitor prescribed medications, over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements to ensure they all work together safely and effectively to provide the best outcome for your condition.
Diabetes Self-Management and Education Support (DSMES)
DSMES provides a foundation to help empower the patient with diabetes to make informed decisions regarding their diabetes care. The person with diabetes works collaboratively with the diabetes educator to learn coping skills and behaviors needed to self-manage their diabetes on an ongoing basis. DSMES can help all persons with diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and gestational).
Diabetes self-management and education is recommended at four critical points for the person with Diabetes:
At diagnosis.
Annually and/or when not meeting treatment targets.
When complicating factors occur (such as change in health status, change in physical limitation, planning a pregnancy or pregnant, change in emotional well-being, or change in basic living needs)
When transitions in life and care occur (change in living situation, change in clinical care team, initiation or change in insulin therapy, or change in insurance that results in treatment changes)
Counseling Services help teach you to correctly use medical devices such as glucose monitors, inhalers, blood pressure monitors, and to monitor and interpret readings.
While services are typically provided to those with chronic conditions, such as Diabetes, Asthma and High Blood Pressure, individuals experiencing short-term medical needs can benefit too.

Initial Consultation
Initial consultation is at no charge to you. This service is conducted via telephone to establish care. We will create a profile for you, including your personal demographics and insurance information to determine coverage. We will talk with you about your needs to determine which services are best for you.

Comprehensive Medication Review
Annually: This is a thorough review of all your medications, including but not limited to prescriptions, over-the-counter, and herbal medications. Patients leave with a better understanding of how medications work together to improve their health. A personal medication record and a medication action plan are provided to you to help you continue on your health journey. This may be covered as an annual preventative service through Medicare and most private insurance.

Targeted Medication Review
This service is provided once every 3 months to continually monitor your medication. We can discuss any new or ongoing medication-related issues and determine how best to address them. We work closely with your other providers to make recommendations and provide them with any necessary medication-related information to help them provide the best care possible.

Educational Services
Diabetes Self-Management and Education Support (DSMES): Topics cover ADCES7 Self-Care Behaviors: Healthy Coping, Healthy Eating, Being Active, Taking Medication, Monitoring, Reducing Risks, and Problem Solving.
One hour classes offered via tele-health monthly.
$175 individual sessions and $85 for group session if available (must have 2 or more signed up for a group session)
